The Marmot Basin Ski Resort is settled half an hour out of Jasper up on the mountain. It mainly is part of one big bowl in which all of the lifts are. With a lot of powder you can hike up to the top of the bowl or ski the sides of it. Even with minus 27 degrees and arriving one day too late (after a big dump of snow) it was no problem to find a lot of fresh powder! From time to time it was even too much of it...
And if you arrive there on a day without powder, there is a nice terrain park with obstacles mainly for beginners and advanced boarders and skiers.
